Building Colour and Form

I love using Langridge oil paints for their vibrancy and pure colour, particularly zinc blue it’s so fabulous.

This week I’ve been building colour and form in the figures at the bottom of the heap and starting to consider the figure on top. I’ve made his neck longer, added skin colour, adjusted his arms and shirt, but his left arm still needs work, actually all of him still needs at lot of work. The little pig is done and the kewpie.

Ollie (nine year old poodle) loves to bring his bones into the studio and never leaves my side while I’m painting since his mate Ruby died a few months ago. I’ve finished a series of five drawings of the two of them chasing a ball which I will post later.

The trolley I use for my paints I bought at the Children’s Hospital (Melb.)
